Ride to help make Sonoma County the best place for everyone to ride!
The first-ever I Bike Sonoma County Century, presented by Whole Foods Market, is set for June 22, 2013, and it’s the ride event you won’t want to miss this year.
Benefiting Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, the I Bike Sonoma County Century offers something for everyone, so gather your friends and family, choose from four beautiful routes, and prepare to experience awesome riding and fabulous food in gorgeous Sonoma County!
By riding the I Bike Sonoma County Century, you help Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition (SCBC) make Sonoma County the best place to ride a bike. Since 2001, SCBC has promoted bicycling for transportation and recreation; its work helps make Sonoma County a safer, more accessible place for everyone – of any age or experience level – to enjoy the health benefits and fun of riding a bike.
Register Now.
How it works:
At registration, you can choose to pay a flat fee and just ride.
Or, you can become a Fundraiser Super Hero: these riders pay a dramatically reduced fee and agree to raise a minimum amount of $250 in support of Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition. The top 11 fundraisers will receive a snazzy “Traffic Master” jersey from Sebastopol-based Elevengear. The top overall fundraiser wins a brand-new Novara road bike from REI!
In addition to a going on a great ride for your favorite bicycling cause, all registered riders receive a goodie bag, and get to enjoy rest stops at Whole Foods Market locations throughout Sonoma County, as well as a post-ride festival and lunch at Whole Foods Market Coddingtown.
Priority registration opens on Thursday, February 7th for Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition members and for anyone riding as a fundraiser at the level of $500 and up. From 1:00 a.m. on February 7th until 11:59 p.m. on February 10th:
- Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition members may sign up at the early-bird rate AND take $5 off registration for the 35, 66, and 100 mile routes (email events@BikeSonoma.org for the promotional code); and
- Those signing up as Fundraiser Super Heroes at the $500 and up level may sign up and pay no registration fee!
Check out the routes (we are still tweaking these, but this will give you a solid idea of what to expect):
