Biker Chicks Spring Rides
Calling all women and girls who are ready to discover or rediscover a love of bicycling!
Join Sonoma County Third District Supervisor Shirlee Zane: become a "Biker Chick!"
Saturday, June 8th, 2013. Plan to meet between noon and 12:15p.m. for a 12:30 departure. Route and meet-up location TBA soon!
Email bikerchicks@BikeSonoma.org to sign up for the next ride or for our Biker Chicks email list.
"Biker Chicks" offers a fun, supportive, social atmosphere for every woman and girl who wants to ride. All you need is a bicycle, a full water bottle, a tire patch kit and spare tube, snacks and a helmet (required for those under 18, recommended for everybody); you don't need special clothing, just wear what you like and ride.
More about Biker Chicks:
Shirlee rediscovered her love of cycling last year and can be spotted most weekends pedaling the Joe Rodota trail or the County’s picturesque back roads. This Spring, she wants to share the joy of bicycling with you!
The rides will always move at an inclusive pace and no one will be left behind. Rides are recommended for women and girls (age 10 and up).
C'mon! You'll get exercise, fresh air, and have tons of fun!
"Biker Chicks" rides are free. Shirlee recommends you make a donation in support of Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition and Regional Parks Foundation.
See you out there, Biker Chicks!
