2026 Bike Friendly Business of the Year: Old Caz Beer

Old Caz Beer takes its name from a popular West County cycling route, so it may come as no surprise that they appeal to cyclists in bike-friendly Sonoma County. But what you might not realize is how much Old Caz supports the local cycling community, helping many organizations further their work of getting more people in Sonoma County on bikes.

This year, Old Caz was the sole beer sponsor at the Wine Country Century, where SCBC runs beer and wine service for the Santa Rosa Cycling Club. In addition to SCBC, Old Caz supports many other organizations, including Redwood Trails Alliance, Friends of Trione-Annadel, Red Peloton and Levi’s GranFondo.

Recently celebrating their seventh anniversary, Old Caz was founded by Tom Edwards and Bryan Rengel, who met as students at Sonoma State University. To commemorate the opening of their new Petaluma location, as well as their origins in cycling, Old Caz is organizing a massive group bike ride from their Rohnert Park brewpub to the new space on August 8.
