A Bicycle and Pedestrian Vision for Petaluma

Petaluma wants your ideas for bicycle and pedestrian improvements throughout the city. As part of its Active Transportation Master Plan update, which is underway now, the city has posted an interactive map that allows you to view existing and proposed infrastructure and add your comments and ideas.

Active transportation plans are meant to identify and prioritize efforts needed to make walking and bicycling safe and accessible for people of all ages and abilities. In Petaluma, the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition would love to see improved access to both the downtown SMART station and transit center, as well as the addition of bike lanes on Washington Street to improve crosstown connectivity.

Add your comments to the Petaluma map by August 13. Click here for more information on the active transportation plan process and to sign up to receive updates on future public workshops.
