The Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition invites you to the fourth annual Golden Spoke Awards Gala on Friday, September 11 at Ru’s Farm in Healdsburg. This event celebrates the champions who are helping create safer, healthier and more connected communities through bicycling.
We are thrilled to announce this year’s award recipients:
- Bike Champion of the Year, an individual who inspires and supports others in the community: Larissa Connors, pro racer and teacher.
- Bike Advocates of the Year, steadfastly working for safer streets: Bruce Hagen and Pete Gang of Safe Streets Petaluma.
- Bike Friendly Business of the Year, supporting cycling in many forms throughout Sonoma County: Old Caz Beer.
- Bike Infrastructure Project of the Year, a bike lane, bike bridge, bike boulevard, bike box, bike parking or bike trail that improves safety and encourages more riders: Hearn Avenue 101 Overcrossing.
In addition to the award ceremony, attendees will enjoy a delicious dinner by Sonoma County Catering Company including appetizers, dessert, and drinks. An online silent auction is open to all, even if you do not attend the event.
