Local elections are an opportunity to voice your support for a more bike-friendly Sonoma County! We’re here to help you Bike the Vote by sharing our positions on relevant ballot measures, as well as City Council candidates’ responses to our questions on bicycling issues.
There are over fifty candidates for Council in Sonoma County’s nine cities. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition cannot endorse candidates for public office, but we are able to share information so that you can arrive at your own conclusion. We have distributed a questionnaire to them all, and their responses will be posted below as we receive them. Click on the name of your city below to read your candidates’ statements. (If your candidates haven’t submitted a statement, contact them and ask that they do so!)
Passage of Measure DD will more than TRIPLE the amount of local funding for new bike paths as well as increase repaving and pothole repair on our roads, resulting in safer conditions for cyclists…WITHOUT raising our taxes. Vote YES on Measure DD.
