Shunning the suburban car culture of the Southern California she was raised in, Christine fell in love with bikes at the age of 18, started racing mountain and road bikes at the age of 19. From 2001 to 2011, as volunteer, then board member, to staff with nine years as executive director, she was the driving  force behind the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, appearing at public meetings making sure the voices of bicycle riders were heard and included in planning and construction. More than thirty years after discovering the power of the bike movement she states that she is grateful to still love bikes and is completely devoted to promoting and spreading the joy of they bring. Currently she works for Sonoma County Supervisor Shirlee Zane and is a member of the Sonoma County Transportation Citizens’ Advisory Committee. Christine is also a volunteer board member for the Redwood Empire Mountain Bike Alliance.
