Cotati’s Active Transportation Future

Do you ride a bike, walk or use a mobility device in Cotati?

Would you like to ride a bike, but can’t get where you need to go?

Would you like to see roads that are safer for everyone – whether you walk, bike, roll or drive?

The Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition is co-hosting a workshop on Cotati’s Active Transportation Plan, which is in the process of being updated with new projects and priorities that will guide the development of the city’s bicycle and pedestrian network in the years to come.

Join us from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 29 at the Cotati SMART train depot, 980 E. Cotati Ave.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet with local staff, consultants and advocates who have been working on the plan update and share your feedback and ideas on the current draft map, project list and policy/program recommendations.

While this meeting will focus on Cotati’s active transportation network, residents from Rohnert Park and other nearby communities that use Cotati roads are encouraged to attend.

The Sonoma County Transportation Authority began a countywide update of local active transportation plans last year, and is beginning to present preliminary reports in participating jurisdictions. Visit their page for more information on upcoming meetings and milestones.
