Genevieve Navar Franklin is a retired Sonoma County Court interpreter, and continues to interpret in a private capacity. She lectures and gives workshops on cultural competence, the power of loving-kindness, and issues related to interpreting, particularly in judicial settings. She was a law enforcement chaplain for over five years and is currently a volunteer chaplain at Sutter Hospital, serving as well on Kaiser’s Patient Advisory Committee. She’s been active in and supported cycling organizations and causes for many years, and soon expects to receive her Licensed Cyling Instructor certification.
