Hear stories of a non-MTBer’s adventure to Ride The Divide, April 19

Join BikePartners.net Bicycle Shop for an exciting program on April 19 to see the photos and hear the stories of a non-MTBer’s adventure to Ride The Divide! The recommended donation is $5, with all proceeds benefiting SCBC!
Completed by Adventure Cycling Association in 1997, the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) is the world’s longest off-pavement bicycle route. Stretching from Banff, Alberta, Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico, USA, the route is 2768 miles long and includes nearly 200,000 vertical feet of climbing while crisscrossing the Continental Divide 32 times. It travels through remote back-country overlapping wildlife ranges for grizzly, cougar, moose, wolf, pronghorn, deer and more! Intervals between services are frequently 100+ miles and demand carefully calculated food/water resupply along the way.
In 2016, with experience exclusively limited to highway bicycle touring, Russ McCoy sought to complete this route as part of his ‘bucket list’ of bicycle travel adventures. How did it go? What was the plan? What was the cost? What worked? What didn’t?
