Cities in Sonoma County are one step closer to updated blueprints to guide the build out of local bicycle networks in the coming years.
Consultants and local transportation officials have begun presenting draft Active Transportation Plans, which outline projects and policies for individual cities, as well as the unincorporated areas of Sonoma County. These drafts follow a year of outreach and community meetings, in which the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition has actively participated. Consultants will continue to collect feedback and make modifications before presenting final plans for adoption early next year.
Share your thoughts on your city’s draft plan at the following public meetings:

SCBC has been pleased that all draft plans have emphasized the importance of connected, low-stress networks that are accessible to riders of all ages and abilities. We encourage you to review the maps and project lists to ensure that critical issues in your communities have been addressed.
