Join us December 8 on a 2.5 mile ride to the Winter Faire at Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm in Santa Rosa (if weather permits!). All bicycle riders will receive FREE admission to the Winter Faire!
Meet at the playground of A Place To Play (2375 W. 3rd St, Santa Rosa). There is plenty of parking! We will ride to Summerfield Waldorf (655 Willowside Rd).
What to bring: Participating families should bring bikes in good riding condition and helmets for each rider. Dress appropriately for the weather.
What we’ll do: We will do a quick check of our bikes and talk about how to ride safely on trails and streets. We will depart at ~10:15 a.m., and should arrive at Summerfield before 11:00 a.m. This will be a leisurely 2.5 mile one-way ride that will take approximately thirty minutes at the pace of a typical 7 year old child.
The ride will follow the Santa Rosa Creek Trail, turning left on Willowside Road and then right into Summerfield Waldorf School.
Families can enjoy the marketplace, crafts, and other delights of Winter Faire, and then pedal back home on their own time.
KIDical Mass is a FUN bike ride for kids, kids at heart, and their families. Sonoma County’s first KIDical Mass family bike ride was held in 2013 in Petaluma and since then we have had rides in Santa Rosa and Windsor. The rides are meant to be family friendly bike rides through a community. They generally meet at a park and end not too far away at another fun spot (park, ice cream shop, pool, or special event).
All types of bikes, trailers, trail-a-bikes, cargo bikes, longtails, bakfiets, Long Johns, tandems, folders, trikes, and whatever rolls are welcome! We celebrate the fact that Kids are Traffic Too and aim for family fun. It’s just another excuse to pedal around town with your family.
