Support the Santa Rosa ATP at Tuesday’s City Council Meeting

Join SCBC and your fellow bike advocates in speaking on behalf of Santa Rosa’s Active Transportation Plan at the City Council meeting Tuesday, July 8.

This important document, nearly two years in the making, will guide the development of the city’s bicycle and pedestrian network in the coming years. It includes nearly 200 miles of new low-stress bike routes in Santa Rosa and 80 miles of new and upgraded sidewalks.

The meeting starts at 4 p.m. and the public hearing is expected to start no earlier than 5:30 p.m. If you’re unable to attend, please consider sending written comment to the City Council letting them know what an updated ATP means for you and why you support it. Written comment should be submitted by 5 p.m. Monday, July 7.

Our tireless colleagues at Bikeable Santa Rosa have played a significant role in improving active transportation options in Santa Rosa over the past three years, and in advocating for the ATP. Read more about their planned involvement at Tuesday’s meeting and what an updated ATP means to them in their July newsletter.

Over the past year, every jurisdiction in Sonoma County has worked to update its Active Transportation Plan. After Santa Rosa, Petaluma will be the last community in the county to adopt an updated plan, with a vote currently expected in September.
